Deputy Governor of Makkah Region to Patronize the Launch of the Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Cultural Foundation

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Makkah Region, the Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Cultural Foundation will be officially launched on May 6 during a ceremony that brings together a distinguished group of cultural and creative leaders.

The launch marks the beginning of a national entity aimed at unifying cultural initiatives under a sustainable institutional framework, reinforcing their long-term impact and continuity.

This milestone highlights the cultural vision of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of the Makkah Region. His vision has been reflected throughout his journey in pioneering initiatives that have supported literature, the arts, and the strengthening of national identity. The foundation seeks to transform this legacy into a sustainable ecosystem dedicated to nurturing creativity, empowering talent, and building bridges for cultural dialogue.

The ceremony will introduce the foundation’s strategic objectives and initiatives, while also opening avenues for partnerships with public and private sector entities. It aims to attract supporters and donors within the non-profit sector, enhancing its impact on the cultural landscape in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The foundation adopts a vision centered on fostering an authentic cultural creative movement rooted in Islamic values. Its mission is to serve as a national platform that reinforces values, encourages innovation, and contributes to shaping a thriving cultural future. Its work is built around several key initiatives, including the Arab Poetry Academy, the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Award for Arabic Poetry, the Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Digital Library, and the Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Award for the Arabic Language (Language of the Qur’an).

The launch event is expected to strengthen the foundation’s media presence through high-quality coverage, while also facilitating strategic partnerships and preliminary agreements that will support its growth and solidify its role in enriching the Saudi and Arab cultural landscape.
